What type of hobbyiest are you?

What motivates you to indulge?

Is it the sexual gratification. Trying new things. Bored of the SO. Acting out fantasies. The thrill of going. Writing reviews and talking about the girls. In hopes of meeting someone. A temporary fill for a void. Loneliness.

I'm curious why people do it. Obviously it's different for each person but interesting nonetheless.

Okay other reasons..... some might get off on the control/power dynamics. Someone to vent/talk to anonymously (a la bartender).

It comes and goes I should say. Nothing stays too long. I'd like to go with the flow. In other words, I'd be obsessed by different things at different times. Be crazy about it for a while, and then change for another hobby or motivation.

However, the foundation is always somewhere around money, sex and food.

for me (MP fan, occasional SP visiter), it's mainly:

sexual relief
therapeutic physical contact/touching/warmth (even if it's not sexual)
great eye candy
the thrill (which hasn't really worn off yet)

basically, it's my only outlet for the above mentioned things, that's why I go
I think it's a great, fun, ethical, financially reasonable, and safe way to fulfill needs

also, it's fun to meet all sorts of interesting types of people
that's why I really appreciate an MPA/SP with personality
very rarely in life do you get yourself in a position to chat freely with a stranger for a defined amount of time

This is so True, Mine weighs the same as me 200 +, has no libido at ALL Gone for years. Have found Ladies that are Truly enjoyable to be With.

I never fully answered the question myself. For me I enjoy the illusion of intimacy and hope to find it in the real world eventually but for the time being massages have helped to keep me sane.

Rose, I suspect you may be right. My SO has always been somewhat inhibited sexually. Sex is infrequent and not adventurous. Seeing an occassional dancer or an SP is a chance for a bit of adventure and variety.

Damn, next time I'm feeling a bit down about being single I'll look at this thread.

But I'm a hopeless romantic...... it's not just about the sex there's all the other stuff that goes with it I suppose. I hope that for the married guys that even though the sex is waning that you find other parts of your relationship rewarding.

Same goes for hobbying for me in that while the sexual aspects are gratified I do feel there's something missing.

I think you touch on a good point about how you like to write reviews.

I wonder if a lot of the interest in writing reviews has to do with us keeping the hobby secret. Sure some talk to friends or coworkers but for the most part I think many of us keep it a secret.

Anyways, as with any secret there is the urge to want to discuss it with somebody and who better than with people who can trade similar stories.
