Before you answer this question I ask if you take the time to think very very carefully before responding, thank you.
If you had a couple or just one thing you have learned in this lifetime what would it be? Please enlighten us.

I just thought we needed this over in our section

Dance as though no one is watching you
Love as though you have never been hurt before
Sing as though no one can hear you
Live as though heaven is on earth

You can learn something from everyone you meet.

Listen more than you talk.

Focus on the positive, the cup usually is half full.

In exile from Madisen!
You could probably answer this question hundreds of ways. Here's what comes to my mind right now.
Help those who need and appreciate your help, while expecting nothing in return.
Try not to hurt others, although sometimes it can't be helped.
Don't let others fuck with you. Be true to yourself.

Make decisions. Think before you make them, but make them. Don't straddle the fence your whole life in fear or allow others to make them for you. Take responsibility for your own mistakes and failures by simply taking control of your life and make decisions; then once made, stick by them.

I prefer the Yoda version

Advice based on years of Jedi teaching experience.

Enjoy the Power and Beuity of the Force.

Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your swamp on degaba

Live on Ice Planet Hoth once, but leave before hard it makes you.
Live on Naboo once, but leave before soft it makes you.

Do something that would scare even Darth Maul.

Respect Mace Windu, good in pulp fiction he was.

Sound a lot like Grove on Sesemi Street I do Hmmm?

Gone to the future.
The guy in the glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for self,
And the world makes you King for a day,
Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that guy has to say.

For it isn't your father, or mother, or wife,
Whose judgement upon you must pass.
The guy whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the guy staring back from the glass.

He's the guy to please, never mind all the rest,
For he's with you clear up to the end,
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the guy in the glass is your friend.

You may be like Jack Horner and "chisel" a plum,
And think your a wonderful guy,
But the man in the glass says you're only a bum
If you can't look him straight in the eye.

You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears
If you've cheated the guy in the glass.

Practice random acts of kindness. It makes the world a better place, and it makes you a better person.

You are the only judge of your own morality that matters.

Hi Aloha, I am very happy that you posted this thread over here at KW. As I mentioned in the lounge section, every lesson you give is very important to every one of us because for us we already know our lesson but for the less-experienced they can learn from us. Isn't learning what life is about? You go through your whole life learning, just think about it. But the most precious learning you will ever have is the gift of knowing life's pitfalls and avoiding them the best you can and passing that knowledge forward.

Keep on posting

I love this quote. Thank you for reminding me
I had a date from Toronto once. I love the way he put it. He said most people don’t' take the time to breath. Just quick short breathes to get through life.
But it seemed to him that people from eastern Canada take long, deep breathes of life. Taking it all in.
I admire people who use all their senses fully, when living

Well said......something like "taking the time to smell the roses."

Having spent time in eastern Canada earlier this year I would concur with your friend's observation. People down east know how to live life to the fullest without missing a beat.
