Was this another - the evidence is overwhelming but I didn't do it and the Hell if I'm ever going to express remorse or apologize to the victims family?

I didn't say that, one reason I'm not a wholehearted supporter of the death penalty. However, I do find it interesting that he didn’t say you're executing an innocent man. But yet, he doesn't express any remorse.

I'm not saying this about you - in this TERB world of hypotheticals!

If a person is on Death Row for murder, exhausts all their appeals, the evidence is overwhelming that they committed the crime and still they "profess innocense to the bitter end" that to me and many other people would say something about their depravity. I don’t think even Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ, would argue that point.

My point was had I been wrongfully convicted, I would profess my innocence. Failing to do so (as you mentioned) would demonstrate to me the system got the right "man".

I think both you and I would say that you have the wrong person, but that I feel sorry for the victim’s family and that the State/Crown needs to find the real murderer. What strikes me about the statement that started this thread is that it’s rather like the lyrics of the Toby Keith song “its all about me.”
