The best patch would be a matching sewn-in replacement of the entire torn panel. What i suspect you really want is something a lot easier and cheaper. You'll have to give anyone trying to be helpful some idea of your DIY skills — especially sewing — and willingness to shop in unfamiliar stores.

If you can get under the rip you can reinforce it with some duct tape. There are repair kits for vinyl but I do not think it will make it look new.
