Between a rock and a hard place
The Coca Cola Company responds to and refutes these rumors with weak arguments. I could argue about the merits of indulging in a favorite soft drink versus avoiding drinking something unpalatable and dehydrating but it would be pointless and an easy counterargument would ensue.

In short.. People have known for a long time what excessive consumption of sugar and fat can do to them. Not to mention the risks associated with casual sex with strangers... Still we choose to indulge because both are so so sweet..

I need a good, simple, clear argument to throw back at "sugar free" and "diet" coke drinkers who claim diet pops don't make people fat. The chems inside the drink are doing a lot of other damage to their innards (when drunk in excessive quantities), but surely a sugar-free pop isn't a real diet drink.

I don't drink soft drinks because I don't like soft drinks unless they are used as a mixer. But if I did like them I would drink them. There are too many spoilsports out there saying things are bad for you. I think we all intuitively know that.
Its almost lunch time. I plan on having a couple of big macs and large fries,(I am hungry because I only had one bacon sandwich for breakfast.) After work I'll have a few gin and tonics and a big steak and baked potato with lots of sour cream, then maybe go out to see one of my regular sp's. What a wonderful healthy day, no Coke at all.
