His system sounded cool and hassle free before. Its become anything but now. No problem paying a service charge to save money, but if its a hassle to pay you that service charge it becomes not worth it.

we get to watch a business model self-destruct.

From the convenience of the internet and a credit card to schlepping over to the Western Union (where are they anyway, never used one) and having the $150 fee being gone forever.

Hmmmm, what could I use that $150 towards that is offered elsewhere on this board?
Absolutely.

And also absolutely nuts, a business that wanted to flash a neon sign to the Treasury authorities and to the RCMP and the FBI couldn't possibly do a better job and likewise of causing them to flag its customers as well.

Damn! CopyCraigs was such a good service but not at that price and not for that inconvenience.

OK, so the $150 Western Union money is to set up a credit account whereby you can call and book hotels either 10 times with no booking fee at time of booking (since it is prepaid ($15x10).
And for those of us from out of town, quite how long is it going to take us to make ten hotel stays on CopyCraigs, especialy if on business trips we are supposed to book another way.

Oh well!

Not to mention that WesternUnion has a service fee on a money transfer of something like $15 - $20. So add that to the total being paid to CC. Booking a room yourself sounds a little more attractive now.
True, also any of the Board members booking from the U.S. will now go into "the system" having made international wire transfers.

Now for most ‘oh big deal’ they are not doing anything illegal, still who wants to deliberately arouse treasury, customs and border services interest.

Haven't heard from Copycraigs for a while....is that the final answer? Even people who use your service once a week will have to do the western Union thing?

It makes sense to charge a block fee $150 for CC, but why Western union? Can you not also take $150 payment from Credit card or paypal? it is a lot less hassle and no transaction fees.
