What do you do when you're sick but in need of some company :(

Long story short.. I got sick yesterday and putting me out of action this weekend, and most likely the next as well. Obviously I can't see someone while I'm contagious. The question of the utmost importance is - should I take the matter into my own hand?

As an aside... I saw an MPA last weekend and she was sneezing just a little bit. Very possibly I got it from her if she was sick (cold virus incubation is about 2-3 days), but could just be some allergy. I enjoyed the session a lot but I doubt I'll see her again

Just for your information,
Streptococcus pneumonia bacteria, which causes most cases of pneumonia, is far less contagious than a cold or flu. This is because most people's immune systems can kill the bacteria before they have the opportunity to cause an infection.
If your immune system is low, you are susceptible to many conditions, not just pneumonia.

Yes SP's are a vector for colds and flu's, you are contagious before you show any symptoms, that is one way these things spread so efficiently. Neither SP's nor clients are very good at stopping when they should stop, it is a fact that most here could vouch for.

That said, schools are another efficient vector for diseases and I don't see anyone proposing to close them.

SP's are LESS likely than civilians to spread sexual diseases because safe sex practices are pretty common in the industry, but colds and flu's.. Yeah.
