What could this SP be using inside

Hello,
I recently visited a very youthful SP. Very nice girl.
I felt during digits that there was kind of hard plastic or metallic ring inside the vagina. I politely asked her and she advised me that it was some kind of protection. I could also feel it during the insertion and penetration. Though it did not hurt.
It was my very first experience over years of being in the hobby.
What could it be. I assume that a female condom may be visible from outside. It was not.
Any advice would be educational.

Probably a NuvaRing birth control ring.. http://www.nuvaring.com/Consumer/index.asp It slowly releases hormones similar to birth control pills, but does it in a time release with the ring staying in the woman's vagina.

Yeah, it was probably the nuvue ring or whatever.
