The incident seems very strange.

Why would the jet engine be running at more than idle when the airplane was parked.

Even at idle the engine can suck you in.

These engines are powerful regardless. There are zones you have to avoid even when the engine is off.

And if in doubt, always walk under the wing.
You mean NEVER walk under the wing.

To be honest, I quit the job years ago. I can't remember. 🤣
I know that when you walk off an airplane in a small airport, there are always people standing to prevent you from walk under the wings.

Have a look at this video by a YouTuber named Mentour Pilot. He's a training captain for Ryan Air and explains aviation related topics. He has some great documentaries about well known aircraft accidents too. I would expect he would post a video about this incident soon. This particular video doesn't speak directly to the incident, but is a great explainer of why the engine has the spiral painted on it. You should never walk under the wing and anywhere near the engines because they are extremely hot. They stay that way for a long time even when off. When you board a plane using stairs at a smaller airport, they'll usually have cones, tape or people directing you away from the wings.
