I read this G&M article and realized that Wendu Mesley turns 50 this year.

I'd hit that without question!

She reminds me of this French Canadian girl I dated in Montreal back in the day. She was a quiet demure young lady from a very nice Parisian french family. Her Dad had his own aeronautics company that made components. Anyway ... she turned out to be a free-eeeek.

I moved to Toronto after University and I always watched Wendy and thought of that girl.

Wendy still looks great!

My first impression of her, I was watching some CBC newsmagazine with my parents, she was interviewing a quebecois dancer (Stephane Laurent, I think), and looked to be soaking her panties over the guy. It wasn't purely my imagination. When it was all over, my mother said, "I think she was flirting with him!" It was pretty funny to watch.

Frank magazine used to pick on her a lot. They seemed to think she owed her career to her various love interests.

With all the honours that the last few governments have been giving to the CBC, I wonder sometimes what they're saving for her: Governor General, Senate, or Order of Canada.

Without any hesitation I would take a shot at that.

I had breakfast with her at a conference a few years ago, she's an attractive gal but shows her age close up. Wouldn't throw her out of bed though!

6 months later, they got divorced.

Then he took up with Cynthia Dale, whom in my opinion is far hotter than Wendy.
