Everybody I talk to lately is raving about the weather. Its the first real nice weather we've had since the second week of August in 2003 (think the great blackout).
Last year was a complete write-off. I kept on thinking......okay June was terrible, we'd get a good day and I'd think we were turning a corner, only to find that the weather got cooler and wetter. July was pathetic and August got even worse. The best weather occurred near the middle of September.
This weather (the three H's) Hazy, HOT and Humid is a long time coming. Let there be a record number of smog days this summer (not that I'm into breathing in all that pollution but smog days usually mean its sunny, the wind is from the south (and light) and the temperature is in the thirties. And with the Lakeshore coal-fired Hydro generating plant shut down in the west end, the air is getting better.
"Here's to those hazy, lazy, crazy days of Summer, those days of soda and pretzels and beer"
