So when we install WeChat app for the first time , it has to be ‘verified’ by another WeChat user. It is like a referral by another user

I did it couple of years ago and WeChat didn't ask for verification. If you are a Chinese person, you may read what they say on WeChat. You can send an invitation to one of your WeChat friends.

Just need to patient and make sure you have a valid email address.

Also make sure that you check your junk folder. Sometimes the email goes there.

Like other users have said check junk mail. I also used yahoo and had no problems.

Best is to use yahoo and you will have no problems.
