Watch out for Britney Collins no show

Well, folks..

Saw the review , e-mail her and booked appt, she gave me direction to a place in Hull/Gatineau, personal information deleted by moderator
First time, I got there, she was a no show, I called numerous time, no reply. wasted 45min in the parking lot.
She did send me E-mail 1 hr before appt which I missed. She was apologetic in the e-mail exchange so I decided to try again next day, well, drove 45 min to get there, wasted another 15 min in the parking lot, another no show.

So beware...

I feel for you brother! My experience was almost the same. It's part of the game and seems to come with the "hobby". In my limited experience, it's not the first time this happens and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Well I too played a little bit of e-mail and telephone tag, but such is life. Since this isn't her full time occupation, I guess some disorganization is inevitable.

I am, however, very glad that I persevered!

I don't think we should condone this kind of behavior from a SP and find excuses for her, part time or full time, organize or disorganize are irrelevant, she advertised to provide a service on this board and we as customers are paying with our after tax money. If she cannot honour her appt, she should not be advertising here.

She may be gorgeous and provide excellent service to a few lucky ones but to the majority, it may not worth the hassle.

I do not Myself doublebook or overbook but I am curious if this rule should not apply to MANY clients as well. Which is the # 1 reason some ladies double book is that men keep pulling no shows... JMHO

Absolutely, it should go both ways, once in a while, this type of event happens, SP double book, emergency arises or clients get cold feet, that's just life, but in Britney's case, she no showed two days in a row with the same client, that's a bit much...

Purpose of my email is just to let the guys know so if they decide to book her, jump in with both eyes open that's all.

I agree, SP's should honor the time specified and not waste our time. Time is money for us too.

Had a bad experience in Montreal with this... but hey.. what can you expect from a 180$ 2hour booking!

Sorry you misunderstood my post mansh9. I did not condone this behaviour - in fact I agreed with your experiences and added that they also happened to me.

However, I do not agree with:

Providing good service is not a prerequisite to being allowed to advertise.

Totally agree! You are right on here mansh9! This is why TERB is so valuable - it allows one to make choices and know what to expect based on the experiences of other hobbyists.

It also provides the opportunity for members to openly express their concerns, which hopefully will cause the SP to correct the problems, or will rightly result in the further erosion of their client base.

My original post, while echoing your frustration, was also meant to provide others the benefit of my experience - that in my opinion, not only was she indeed gorgeous, but that she also provided excellent service (once you actually were able to meet).

I've been planning on contacting her recently and believe she'll be worth the time as rider suggests. I'll also now know that she may not be there as agreed per M9.

as far as myself I don't double book, And always leave time between appts to SHOWER or just relax......Many men can vouch for me that I am very good at what I do,and have ALOT of respect for peoples time,and money (i work an 10$/hr job too besides this you know!).

Things do come up, as I told Mansh9. Regardless if I do this part or full-time, it doesn't matter. If I say I am going to be around at the specified time, I will. If something comes up, I will notify the guy. Unless, of course, I do not have a number to contact the person at. Many men do NOT wish to leave their number, and if something should come up....how am I supposed to notify? Don't access my computer 24/7.

Slyjohn, as for your remark about "cleaning up before the next", I am a very, very clean SP. We haven't met so you wouldn't know that. I hardly ever book apt's back-to-back. There is always hours between appointments.

I have had MANY no shows, but that has absolutely NO bearing on how I will treat my clients. If I haven't been able to follow through with an appointment, it is because something came up. I have NEVER double booked.

Ryder55, yes I am new to the business but that doesn't mean I don't know how to be organized.

Maybe Ottawa wasn't such a good idea, as this is the second time in only 3 weeks I have written a response to people slandering myself & my service.

It was great to meet the men I have. Didn't think me being an SP would be long term....didn't think it would be so short-term either.

And I'm also one of the guys that takes pride in treating SPs with respect by contacting them if I'm not going to show. I know it's not a good feeling to get stood up, that's why I don't do it.

I refuse to publisize my number, so if `blocked ID` is a problem, then your in the wrong business (your the only one who does that).

There was a thread going in January in regards to blocked numbers. If Britney doesn`t accept calls from those individuals, she`s not the only one. I do not accept calls from blocked numbers, nor do I book appointments without having a name or phone number in order to contact the client (should the need arise). It hasn`t hurt business, in fact, things are going so well that I had to stop advertising.

I`m not the only one who doesn`t feel comfortable with blocked numbers, MANY, MANY SP`s follow this practice. I wasn`t doing it when I started last year, but a couple of SP`s, who are well known to the board, informed me that it would be in my best interest to take up the practice of getting a contact number, in case something happened to me.

You may require discretion, but some of us demand safety. Would you let a complete stranger into your home without knowing a shred of personal information about them?

In any case, if the service being provided by britney wasn`t up to par, SHE should have been the first one to contact. Not the board. Nowhere did I read that mansh9 tried to contact britney after her second noshow to get her take on the subject. Instead, he chose to come onto the board and rant.

As far as Britney is concerned, I don`t know if she`s quitting the biz or just quitting the biz in Ottawa, either way. It`s a shame that she`s been chased away. Things could`ve been handled better.

Ditto, thanks for showing her how classy Ottawa guys are, we don't hold grudges, we deal with facts.

Britney, Please do not make it sound like Ottawa guys are at fault here, let me remind you the facts as to why I posted:

. You no show on day one, afterwards sent me e-mail and reassured me that you will be there next day and I rebooked and you no show again.

. I left my cell number with every voice message I left you. You later indicated to me that you did not want to call just in case someone else is around, I appreciated the discretion, bought into that and gained me the second no show.

. Purpose of my post is not to chase you away but as I indicated before, just to make sure others know what they may be getting into.

. Many guys like rider55 vouched for you and indicated that you are gorgeous and provided great service, you could have change and work to keep appts moving forward and I am sure other guys will write proper reviews to regain your reputation. It is ashame you chose to blame it all on Ottawa and took the other route.

Anyway, I started this e-mail and I hope I can close it by saying good luck and all the best to you.
