Washroom Attendants, and Panhandlers

One begs for money, and the other just about obligates you to pay. John Nunziata wants to get rid of panhandlers.....maybe he can help us get rid of the washroom attendants.

Realistically, you only have to tip them a looney or two per night and personally, I prefer the fresh paper towels they usually provide to the hand dryer.

John Nunziata is a damn fool to think he is going to get rid of pan handlers. It would be easier to get rid of incompitent politicians like Sheila Copps than pan handlers. At least you can trust a pan handler.

Why not get rid of panhandlers?

Instead of the cops running around harassing massage parlours, let them do some good and stop all the damn panhandlers.

I HATE sitting in my car and some guy is standing 2' outside the window holding a tim horton's cup out. 99 percent look pretty healthy to me. I don't like getting up at 6:00 am either, but i do.

The panhandling situation is BAD downtown, you can't walk 50' and you are right into another guy asking you for change. I don't mind the guys who sell the newpaper, but that's where i draw the line. It drives you crazy and i am sure the tourists hate it too.

There is no reason in the world why anyone should be panhandling. There is welfare, there is subsidized housing, better yet, there is WORK to be had.

As far as sheila goes, she does her job. That by-election thing was a farce, but she does her job.

You have got to be kidding....

Some of these panhandlers make more money then some on here.

Case in point... Just down the street from my landlady’s restaurant there is a LCBO. They stand outside there with their cups and often rake in $20 to $30 an hour. Often it's more like $10. per hour but the potential is there and they do it. How do I know? I have seen them come in to the restaurant to cash in their change for bills. Then they run off to their dealers. The spot is so lucrative that the LCBO manager there has had to call the police more then once because a fistfight broke out in front of the store. They are fighting for the spot. They argue about whose turn it is. With the exception of one girl whom I think is mentally unstable a bit and unable to work they are all healthy males and IMO could just get a job. (The girl I often give cigarettes to but never money.) Guess what though… someone a homeowner in the neighborhood tried to hire a couple of them to do some yard work and they all refused. To me they are nothing but a nuisance and IMO a blight on the neighborhood.
