Warning - Nuden Policy

Be advised. One or several of the girls at the the Nu-Den strip club have just clicked into the fact that the management will support them against customer complaints without any attempts at verification. I just got scammed big time. I went for a dance with one of the girls. Once in the booth and as things heated up a bit she leaned over me and as soon as my tongue touched her she freaked. She told me I had crossed the line, demanded her fee right away. When I asked to see the manager I was told that since my tongue had touched her I didn't have a leg to stand on. He has Board of Health on his tail at all times. I was sober and very reasonable with my presentation of my side. I was summarily barred. I was stunned. I am a guy who never argues about any point. If I am scammed I give the money up front and hope to make my case later. I don't argue with management. And here I am told I am barred, without a hearing or anything. I have never been barred from anywhere in my life. I replied," fine , no problem." BE CAREFUL Guys. I suspect Ottawa is leaning on this club heavily. You can be scammed the same way. There is some heavy sh_t going down here.

I stop in at the NuDen once in a while and I too would like the name or at least a description of the girl whom you had problems with. I would be really pissed if that happened to me. I feel for you bro.

Day Shift or Night

I, too, frequent the 'Den and would like to know the name of the dancer. Was it during the day shift?

Can't remember her name guys (they are pseudonyms anyway so I don't pay that much attention.) An older girl, white, dark hair, glasses.(not too many with glasses) She set me up royally. I did not see that one coming at all. It was pure maliciousness (pms?) But to some extent I blame management.(big guy bald white T-shirt - best I can do) That could have been handled much better. I was not confrontational at all. It would have been easy for him to defuse the situation calmly. That's what he's there for I think. Well it's their loss. I dropped well over a hundred bucks last night and most nights when I have gone. And this is not the first time I have been subjected to abuse by a dancer there. One evening one very drunk dancer walked up to me out of the blue and began berating me to the point where I just upped and walked away. I watched while she started on the guy who had been sitting next to me. He , however didn't put up with it and told her to get lost. Those were fairly rare occurrences and for the most part I have enjoyed the company of the girls I have selected (I politely decline the ones who approach me with the demeanour of a used car salesman. A little shyness on the part of a dancer just charms my socks off) Anyway guys there it is. So I guess I am off to sample the delights of some of the other clubs. Cheers

You may want to try the Platmate on a Thursday or Friday night. Always a couple great girls and definately good management. Some nights pretty quiet thou.

My last time at the Den will be my last (atleast for awhile). Three songs with a girl, but she insisted it was FIVE. Unreal.... No way I miscounted. I almost expect sometimes they add one song if they are blonde, but from three to five....., bye bye.

And whats with second song no nudity and third song like maybe 10 seconds nudity..... Not a big deal but it just seems the quality of shows has declined drastically. Anybody else notice this????

No wonder a couple of dancers told me they like working there because management is so good to them. A girl can make a lot of bucks taking liberties like that without fear of her word being doubted.

I've encountered the 'dancer math' more than once at this not-so-fine establishment. I paid the correct amount & didn't have a problem.

A suggestion to Terbites patronizing this SC would be to stick with a regular dancer you know. When turning down a dancer you don't know, explain the problem Regular Guy had. This may put some pressure on management & the dancer in question.

You don`t have to take this crap, complain to the LCBO they will investigate your complaint also city of Ottawa permits will also give them a hard time this is out and out theft when yhey get more than one complaint there will be action .NUDEN will fix this situation very fast if they are going to lose thier permit and they won`t know who you are don`t put up with the crap .

Great idea except that the dancer was too crafty to get caught in that one. Remember, as far as the authorities are concerned, all that happens in the Champagne rooms is that we shake hands, some clothing is removed, money is paid and everyone leaves smiling - an almost wholesome experience compared to the reality. In most cases breasts are offered to taste body chemistry and pick up some pheromones. There is grinding and the odd case of more offered for "extras". Let's call a spade a spade. So the technicality is no tasting allowed. I am not 100% sure if her complaint that my tongue touched her would fly even if she laid her boobs all over my face and I just happened to lick my chops at that moment which, granted, I could make a case for here. One has to ask oneself, "Is this the hill I want to die on?" So far they have lost my business and through this forum have pissed off a lot of terbite patrons. In that sense I'll take a smaller victory. And incidentally the doorman should have been aware of this reality. After all I'm sure he didn't just fall off the turnip truck. And I'm sure even the authorities are aware that there must be some latitude when two adults are in a sexually charged situation. There is no way in that sense that I was even near to being out of line. I do have from at least 50 to 60 dances under my belt over the years so I know the norm. But then again the dancer was playing "Gotcha!"
But I thank you for your support in spirit. I also know it is frustrating to have to watch this kind of crap go on.

Believe me guys I had no idea you all were so on top of this scene and were calling it tight. I should have been more aware of keeping the name info and the like. I feel a bit inadequate. Although I am a believer in holding their feet to the fire, I see how the system works. You guys don't miss much. This girl works nights (last night was Monday night.) I had never seen her there before. She looked like an old girlfriend of mine. She was older, dressed in a black outfit, had a kind of personable demeanour ( maybe this was what disarmed me.). There are very few dancers though, who wear glasses. I think that may be a dead giveaway. Now that I think back on it I was intrigued with whether she actually was that old girlfriend(20 years?) that I missed an underlying cold flavour to her persona. Maybe I should have picked up on it. I was asleep at the switch. I have been kicking myself since.

I was at the Mate a few times recently, had no problem with song counts .....

Monday night

I was at the Nu Den on Monday from about 19:30 until 21:15. I recall the short, thin girl with glasses when she was on stage, but never noticed her on the floor.

I did have two dances with a red haired girl from PEI and sampling of the mechandise was OK.

We must have seen each other. You don't by any chance know the name of the doorman do you? Some of the other guys were wondering.

I too took the girl from PEI for several dances. She seemed very genuine and friendly and we talked for quite a long time. She provided excellent service. Big softie that I am I bought her some wings.

I don't know if the girl you saw on stage was the same one who pulled that stunt on me. Avoid her like the plague. She is a real head case. And it is a shame as those types spoil it for the others.

Consistency?

The Nu Den is a real hit and miss place at times. Sometimes mileage can be high and sometimes just air dances. The girls who take you to the booths downstairs can be just air. In the past, when there were no openings in the upstairs VIP, some mileage could be had. I do remember DATY with a girl there about 2 years ago.

Seems like you are aware of the consistency problem and reflecting on my own experiences over the last year I can see some of what you say. But this also says to me that this is the sign of a management who have backed their girls blindly and lost touch with how they are conducting relationships with the clients. This is also reflected in the dance count problems myself and others have encountered. The Nu Den has one of the largest rosters on the floor of these clubs especially say on a peak night. That alone should be an indicator that just maybe one or two dancers might need to be monitored. I have never at any other club that purports to be a class act have a drunken dancer tell me I must be queer if I don't want to take a dance with her. That said, any club that is client oriented should not sweat the small stuff. It's all about having the right perspective that works and takes into account the realities of this business.

In any event this is history for me. After this, had I not been asked to stay away I would still feel uncomfortable in that club. I am going to pop over to the Playmate or Pigales or one of the others sit enjoy the show and not give this place one more thought. I am the customer these clubs all like to have as a patron. I am quiet, good to the girls, I tip well, and I spend $money$. Their loss. Cheers guys. Stay alert.

Nice little club!

Just one last point. On my way to Montreal I found this great little dance club. It's in Casselman on the 417. Seems to be used by dancers who don't want to run into people they know in Ottawa. The place is called Karina's on the main street. The barmaid Denise is a real people person. Hope the mods don't confuse my enthusiasm for a shill. Anyway if so I apologize in advance.
