If you’re mainly a Web surfer, note-taker, social-networker and emailer, and a consumer of photos, videos, books, periodicals and music—this could be for you. If you need to create or edit giant spreadsheets or long documents, or you have elaborate systems for organizing email, or need to perform video chats, the iPad isn’t going to cut it as your go-to device.
I agree. The only time I need a computer with more power than a iphone is when I'm working. And when I'm at work, I'm using the "work" computer. I already don't use my home computers anymore because of my iphone. Now if my iphone only had a bigger screen...is it too late to invest in Apple?

Personally I am very excited about the iPad and look forward to playing with it at the Apple store. I certainly will purchase the iPad if it addresses my computing needs.

I am waiting for the front-mounted camera, multi-tasking, and to see WTF the cell companies are going to do here.

Already stuff like this in the making. I believe the WePad has a camera and a built in cellular type modem. It is also android based so it can multi-task unlike the iPad/phone/touch/pod.

There's a rumor that the next iPhone / iPad OS (it should come out this June) will support multitasking. Some tech sites that I trust their editorial ability (they skipped publishing more suspect rumors) have published this one, so I'm hopeful it will turn out to be true.
