IMHO, no. That statement is too open to interpretation. When I saw it, I didn't even know what it meant, until I read the news article. If it weren't for the news article, I would have ignored it, thinking it was another stupid product for kids. Just because some news article interprets it that way, doesn't mean the entire public will.

But, Wal-Mart must cater to their customers, and in the paranoid, puritan USA, the item will probably get pulled off the shelf.

And what's the deal with those kiddy lingerie shops? Not Gap Kids, but some similar name, except for lingerie. Seriously. Never been in one so I'm not sure what's on the shelf there, but its a junior version of those sexy clothing stores, and they're in malls everywhere. I'm confused as to their intention. I don't think little girls should be sexualized at all, and part of that is that they should not think of their underwear as being sexy. No need for kiddy teddies or anything like that. If that's the intent of those stores. Why are they allowed to exist in mainstream commercial centers?
