Walking to BMO Field

Would anyone know if it is possible to walk to BMO field from Liberty Village? I have done multiple searches and still can't tell. It looks like there is GO station and wonder if one can walk south from Liberty Village through the station and end up around the Exhibiltion Grounds? I am looking to go to BMO field, but want to avoid the circus with Exhibition going on and also want to avoid public transit. I would rather walk.

Yes there's a staircase that goes down under the GO station and out the other side to BMO field.
