According to director Kevin Smith, Jackson approached him about making a movie called ‘Hot Rod’. The movie would star Jackson as a man who turns into a car that is driven around by a little boy. No, I’m not kidding. Jacko wanted to turn into a car and have a little boy climb inside and drive him. “It was about Michael Jackson morphing into a car. Jackson was behind it, and he wanted it to be a story about this guy, played by himself, who hangs out with a little boy, and this little boy gets in the car and drives him around.” Kevin Smith, in an interview in Playboy Magazine. I just have one thing to say about this. This movie must get made. It has to. Is there anyone alive who wouldn’t want to see this? It would be the biggest grossing film of all-time. Not because it is a good idea, but because it just might be the worst idea ever.
A man who is facing child molestation charges wants to make a film about a boy getting into a man-car and driving him around. Smith says that the script was the weirdest one he had ever been pitched, but ‘in retrospect, I’d love to make that movie. But it wouldn’t have been anything like the version that Jackson or the studio wanted.” Wrong Kevin. You go back and tell jacko that is the exact movie you will make. You let him make all of the decisions. You let him write the script. I want this to happen badly. And what is Mike doing wasting his time with this ‘car’ idea. Just make the movie he really wants made. A movie about a guy who gets his grill cut up about a thousand different time’s who builds an amusement park in his backyard, and has kids sleep in his bed, and has a secret chamber for kids and an adult alarm in his bedroom. Why mess around with the car concept. It could be called ‘weirdest guy ever’. I’ll say it again , this movie has to get made. If for no other reason that the prosecution can have more evidence at Jackson’s trial later this year.
