When it comes to children, if they are taught hatred, they will grow up with hatred. If they are taught tolerance, then they will be tolerant. They won't grow up wanting to be gay.

Personally, I would rather have kids watch softcore than any violent movie.

I felt disgusting this morning when I saw school children watching this add pasted on a bus stop shelter. How would you explain this to your kids ???

I would be as offended if it were a straight couple add doing a full-mouthed kiss specially at a public place in a residential areas near the school bus stop.

anyways I have never seen before such type add of full mouthed kiss in the public place yet in Canada in last 15 years . was I missing something ? remember on tv you hava a choice for parental control

showing your 6 years old kid a soft-porn movie in your home is your personal decision but doing it at a public place to others kids wll cause your ass to be kicked so hard that you' ll forget your terb user password

I don't think that is the point.

Kids are easily influenced and this is an alternate lifestyle which they may or may not understand.

In an adult setting I can see no problem but I would not be happy having this in their face so to speak.

The add is poorly placed in my opinion.

The sooner kids are exposed to reality the more normalized things become. If things are hidden, and portrayed as "weird" or "alternative" the more they will become outlets for rebellion. Again someone explain how people kissing could harm a child. I have kids, the couple next door are gay. My kids have seen them kissing in the back yard. All that happened was they giggled and laughed and I told them to mind their own business and that was it. No big deal. My kids are now aware that people kiss. Its not a big deal. They are also aware that there are intolerant idiots in the world, they are the ones to avoid.

explain to me why a dad was charged recently in the USA because he used to sometimes wander without clothing while his kids were at home ?

explain to me what was the reason the judges gave when they banned the full mileage lap dances in ontario ?

have you ever heard of a 6 year old being digged by a 9 year old in the school ? and can you explain the behaviour of such kids ?

Kissing is an alternative lifestyle? On what planet?

I'm not a huge fan of the über sexualization of our culture, especially in advertisement, but this is pretty tame in terms of sexualization. No nudity at all, no suggestion of degradation or humiliation, no violence, merely two dudes kissing.

I would personally have a much harder time explaining this kind of images to my kids than the one posted by the OP:

By the way none of the images are appropriate for a bus stop frequented by children.

I know someone that used to work at Virgin mobile Canada who told me that the Chief Marketing Officer and much of the marketing dept is openly gay. There was one guy who had a nude male calendar on his wall and he got upset that someone complained to HR, so instead of taking it down he put post-its over the groin.
BTW, the calendar photos were of men with full erections, so keep an eye out for the next ad from Virgin.
