That reminds me, the first R&R musician that i saw live was at the Crang Plaza, Keele & Wilson, ROMPIN RONNIE HAWKINS, singing FORTY DAYS his first big hit.
Eddie, i think Crang Plaza was Jane and Wilson...on the opposie side of York Plaza....i know because as a kid i went to St Phillips grade school right behind the York Plaza
i saw Eddie Floyd there, as well as Soul singer Jackie Shane, back in the day
Ronnie ,s version of 40 days was great....It was a cover of the Chuck Berry tune 30 Days...Ronnie gave her more time ....lol

You're right. I also saw Jackie Shane at one of the spots on Yonge St. About Ronnie, did he not live somewhere near cottage country in Ontario for a number of years?
