Addition by subtraction???

Does look like the Raps got much for their trouble. Mourning is a shadow of his former self, and while both Williamses are nice players, they are hardly upgrades to either Woods or Bosh.

I am guessing there will be another raptor forward invloved, probably Donyell Marshal. The raps opend up one roster spot waiving roger mason jr. meaning they can only pick up one more player than they send. Add to that, the raps would get three forwards added that the nets lose. The nets would be left with:

Jabari Smith - on IR
Brian Scalabrine - F
Nenad Krstic - F
Kaniel Dickens - F and
Jason Collins - C

Only Collins and Scalabrine deserve any time.

The raps would have Arujo, Bonner, Bosh, Marshall, Moiso, Murray, Sow, Woods, and now Zo, and the two williams playing 4 or 5.

No way this stays like this.

The other possibility is that a couple raps will then be flipped somewhere else. Zo supposedly isn't happy about coming to TO so there could be something else afoot.

I have to agree with hammertn. They will flip Zo, along with someone else for something, plus they get, with this trade, 3 1st rounders this upcoming draft. got to love that. I know it's early but for me this season is written off, even if they do limp into the playoffs.

that's too bad about Mourning

last time I saw a player traded to Toronto that I hated we won a couple of World Series in Baseball......and i slowly got to appreciate Ricky Henderson when he was on our side.

Between Mourning and Eric Williams we'd have 24points and 14 rebounds along with Donyell and Bosh noone would be picking raptor crap from under their high tops any more.

The strength was really needed. I hope there is time for Mitchell to convince Mourning to have a go here in Toronto. It might however take away from our running game.

Mourning is unhappy about coming here because he wants to be on a contender. Then again the Net's weren't a contender either and he was unhappy there too.

If the Rap's start winning he'll shut up and hopefully play well and mentor Bosh. Either that or they're using him as trade bait.

Moiso was waived and Sow and Arujo are on the IL. I think they are hoping it works out rather than trading again. So there is not that many up front. I am just concerned because all these guys are in their 30s and have three more years on their contracts. In the long term it doesn't look good.
If they make the playoffs, their 1st round pick goes to Charlotte. It was part of the Lamond Murray trade a couple of years ago.

Bonner and Woods are the losers here as they will never leave the bench.

I heard they got 2 first rounders from NJ. Bonner has played well and Woods as well. Hopefully they keep their spots.

Woods need more effort. If would at least get ONE HAND up on defense, he might block/alter a number of shots. He also gets too many boards that "karim" off his hands. He really needs to work on getting emotional when he plays.

I doubt 'Zo will ever see a minute in Toronto, he doesn't wanna come here so let the next trade happen! WooHoo!

At least I can end my boycott this year and check the Raps live!

See ya Vince, loved ya for a while but I will not miss ya.

Best wishes and best of luck broken head!

I think it's a good trade for TO .... maybe a package of Zo and Rose will be easier to sell than two swingmen.

raps lose to indiana...

it was purely a matter of size and rebounding prowess again. Foster and the rookie Harrison just killed us.

Coach Mitchell also dropped the ball on the Miller play. They should have had noone less than 6'10" on the floor AND EVERYONE with their hands up in the air. Even Loren Woods could kept his hands up for 1SECOND!!
