It is rather tasteless to compare Harper to Hitler. To the best of my knowledge, Harper has not singled out Jews, Gays or Gypsies to be arrested and gassed. He has not even forced anyone in the Conservative Party to wear brown shirts.
Both tasteless and altogether typical of the left of center crowd to try to label someone right of center as "Fascist" or "Nazi." Harper strikes me as someone who wouldn't throw a tantrum. He might be firm but I honestly can't imagine him throwing a fit.

I agree he's never tried to gas anyone or force anyone to wear brown shirts--but he's certainly tried to crack down on homosexuals a few times.

FWIW I didn't find it tasteless and got a chuckle out of it. Good satire usually pushes the boundries of good taste anyway.
