What about meals and accommodation and transportation and medical history before giving them these controlled substances? Are doctors and nurses on standby. This sounds dangerous,irresponsible and opens up several cans of worms.

I have another plan, a three year pilot, project :

1. Give a 12 months grace period to addicts and drug dealers to enter treatment programs or find other income sources.
2. All addicts found in possession of controlled substances will be incarnated and put into treatment programs,
3. All convicted drug traffickers will be executed by firing squad
4. At the end of three years if street overdose deaths have not gone down, then the project will be discontinued.

Here's a win win scenario. Incentivize it. Get drugs. Give them brooms and bins. Start cleaning up their shit.

Singapore introduced boot camps for drug addicts. Don't think it went as far as firing squads. But it did straighten some people out.
