If it's a red light district you're after, then Utrecht is the place to be. It is a large city, about a 40 minutes train ride east of Amsterdam. The big difference between Amsterdam and Utrecht is that Utrecht is not overloaded with tourists and those who pray on tourists.
Utrecht has two RLDs. One is downtown on the east side. It is quite small and has only African women. Not much for a fella looking for hotties. The second is called the Zanpad and it is a canal on the north end of the city, about 5km from the central train station and is about 300 meters long. The girls work out of house boats (yes you read correctly).
While it does not have the tourists of Amsterdam, it has plenty of serious costumers. The girls there must make far more those their counterparts in Amsterdam.
