Just saw this today. My comments on the other side of this link are going to be rude so you may not want to read if this is still a sore spot.

Do you think the Republicans actually kept a few bodies from the attack? It really seems like these guys cannot get together without throwing these images of death out as a rallying cry to their cause, so it would only suprise me a little if they kept a corpse around for the last 7 years to throw out on stage in case the video equipment failed. 3,000 dead on their watch and yet they can still use it to manufacture support. Amazing and revolting at the same time.

The Republicans will say anything and do anything to get elected. How low will they stoop is the question. And their followers eat it up.....hook, line and sinker. They should change their name to the Machiavellian Party.

And when the Dems play nice, Gore and Kerry as an example, they lose. Time to take the gloves off Obama/Biden, but please try not to stoop quite as low as your competition will.

Does Ms. Mapes work for the democratic party in the field of exploiting the dead? I put her name in youtube and found one clip that said she used to produce for Dan Rather, how does this compare to a party that exploits 3000 dead people every chance it gets for 7 years?

The crowd response at the end was pretty inappropriate. I wonder if any of them felt weird applauding.

No, she worked for a theoretically unbiased news organization while feeding forged documents from a known biased source to a Democrat campaign so they could prepare for her airing of the "news".....

Ok she was key idiot behind that failure understood. But the thing is that was a failure and people did lose their jobs over it. Exploiting the dead is not a failure, it's a plan. They believe (because it has worked) that if they throw enough corpses on the table they can scare the stupid weak willed masses (sorry I meant undecided) and win. Never mind how heinous it is, nevermind how disgraceful and dissrespectful it is, just dig up the graves again and throw the body on the table.

OK, I watched that video (without sound given I did it in the Kitchen) and I stopped it when Obbermann came on (that man is an idiot).

I would have edited out about 4 seconds of that video, other than that I thought it was fine. I lost several neighbors and co-workers on 9/11....

So what do you think the reason was for showing those images if not to garner political support for the Republican party?

Talk about whoring your soul out.

Maybe it would have also been fine if the Dems had shown footage of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to remind the country that their party is tough as nails.

or how about if the DNC had a video about restoring the constitution featuring the photo's of Abu Grahib (sp?), or some video of people being waterboarded and stuck in stress positions?

Fear & Paranoia is all the GOP have!

They can't talk issues because issues reflect badly on their watch the last 8 years in power. So all they have left is attacks on the person, mud slinging and their standard Trump Card, Fear & Paranoia!
This is all they can offer!....

In fact here's a clip that could be used better to describe what Dubya and his clone McDubya have to offer the USA and World.

This anti-war song from the NAM era, with appropriate updates, is befitting of them two Nam vets, enjoy:

You don't believe that September 11, 2001 was a seminal event in U.S. history? Do you also not believe that like Pearl Harbor it was the enemy(ies) of the U.S. that launched the attack?

NO!!!!!!!
Pearl Harbor was worse than 9/ll PERIOD!
Japan a powerfull military country attacked Pearl Harbor, than same case CAN'T be made for 9/11 which was inspired by a few radical Arabs and Osama bin Laden, that felt betrayed by what the USA, THEIR FORMER ALLY, did to them! These Arab nutcases were just giving their GOP old allies/friends in the USA a little 'payback'.

So what - the Japanese felt hurt by the actions of the U.S. government as well. I don't buy that argument in the slightest.

Ha!
But the US 'rebuilt' Japan after WWII!
While Reagan Welshed on promises made to OBL on rebuilding Afghanistan after the Ruskies were routed!
OBL felt like Ronnie used him, then stabbed him in the back, he wanted some 'paybacks' for this!
Big difference between the two....

If Preal Harbor was worst than 9/11...look how soon people forget and buy Japanese items...maybe in 50 years most will people alive then will think of 9/11 as not that big of deal :(

And the U.S. had an obligation to do this? Was it not rather an act of self interest on the part of the U.S.?

Yep, and OBL will agree with you to on this one.
That's why OBL was so POed that Reagan, HIS ALLY, reneged on his promises to OBL!...;)
