A key piece of evidence linking Iraq to a nuclear weapons program appears to have been fabricated, the United Nations’ chief nuclear inspector said yesterday in a report that called into question U.S. and British claims about Iraq’s secret nuclear ambitions.

Because they want to bomb them.

Biggest mistake the U.S. made was hinging the whole thing on weapons of mass destruction. They should have had the balls to say, "Saddam goes....or we attack".

No one is disputing that Iraq has the technical know how or domestic Plutonium. They only lack the means to refine it thanks to the Israelis.

Yes, we must be diplomatic and not blame anyone for forged papers. LOL! Maybe next time when intelligence comes forward, it should be confirmed by the CIA instead of made up by the CIA. Then no one would "fall for it". C. Powell said in an interview that the CIA knows more about Iraq than the UN security council does. Now I understand what he meant. But I don't think fiction counts.

The U.S. government hasn't given fake evidence. They haven't given any evidence.

They want Iraq anyway they can get it. They need it economically and strategically.

Why do you think the French, Germans, Russians and Chinese are against the proposed U.S. action; certainly not because they are humanitarians. The Brits hope to be the big European winners by riding the American coattails. This area not only controls significant oil , but it commands control of the whole middle east. With the existing American power, they will be insurmountable with Iraq, and the other guys know it and fear the consequences. So do I; however, at least the stock market might go up.
