i go to respond to a thread and now its been deleted. what the hell is going on with this place. it wasnt even a bad post. just one asking fred why all the posters with alot of posts under their belts have all felt the need to stop posting here. and there was something about sheik and the personal info.

are the mods here cleaning house as fast as people can answer the posts? why all the deleted posts recently? who runs this popsicle stand?

This is Fred's board and he will run it as he sees fit. That is the short answer.

A longer answer is that 99% of the time, most people will put self interest ahead of "doing the right thing". Of course, part of the problem is defining just what "the right thing" is. Where you stand, depends upon where you sit.

i know i stand on my feet and i sit in a chair...usually.

No I didn't....

I used to read posts that were 15 pages of crap....Ususally people trying to use the word "Spheniscidae" in a sentence.

So I turned to other boards...

Now that they have taken over the other sites, I can come back to terb.

Although I do not agree with what Sheik said about Scholar. I think Sheik should be man enough to say that he said it because he was pissed at the time. Come on Sheik, swallow your pride.

I've been around for a while. Had some posts deleted, edited, whatever. Not too impressed on occasion either when it happens. I usually take issue with the notion that without [legit] pervs like me hanging out here those advertising dollars don't roll in - so let's be carefull how you treat the bait that brings in your fish.

That said, it's not my board. I can leave anytime. And, generally speaking, the mod's do a pretty good job keeping things in order...

Over the years I have been here IMO TERB has had its ups and downs. Some of that has just as much to do with me just as much as TERB itself. I lose interest and get board with something that is no longer a novelty any more. I search all the sections and find nothing worthwhile. Or other times I do not have enough time to read all the threads and reply to all the threads I would like to.

As for members retiring or being banned... same thing. I have seen people banned that I thought deserved another chance. I have seen people banned that I thought well it's about friggin time they got rid of that asshat. Should have banned them long ago. I have seen people retire that I was sorry to see go and as above I have seen people retire that I thought good riddance who cares asshat.
