My friend has been telling me that being uncircumcised will make you more disease-prone than if you're circumcised. Says medical studies show and blah blah.. ANy truth in this? I've thought about getting circumcised and nearly did it because of my ex gf. These just rumors or facts?

If a girl is going to go down on you then I dont think a little skin will make a difference. Personally I have not encountered a girl that would not give me head, for that reason.

P.S. If you do it you will be less sensitive, you know how girls like sensitive guys;)

Do you mean that women will go down on you if you ARE circumcised???

Your title reads this way, but the text of your post says more women will go down on you if you are UNcircumcised.

One thing that i have read that women who's sex partners are UNcircumcised run higher rates of cervical cancer.

I don't remember what the theory behind this was.

Most chicks prefer cut, but there are exceptions.

Betwixt her thighs ideally!
Two things puzzle me about the fashionability of circumcision in North America:

1. How and why did it catch on? After all it's not fashionable in Europe. It's actually an ages old Semitic practice!

2. Gays tend to be the fashion forerunners (especially for women). Gays overwhelmingly prefer the uncircumcized! How is it that women still think differently?

LMFAO!!

Is it me or do the guys seem to just be a tad bit touchy about the issue??

Guess we know the turtle neck guys from the crew necks now without them even dropping their drawers.

They're not myths, they're facts. It is easier to catch STDs if you are uncircumcised. The foreskin tries to fight infections by absorbing them thru the mucus membrane and attacking them with white blood cells. This is absolutely the worst way for the body to try to fight off something like HIV.

I'm not going to sugar coat the fact that women prefer cut males over uncut. Telling you it doesn't matter would be the same as telling you that size doesn't matter. However, I would not suggest you get circumcised as an adult. I've only seen two botched circumcisions and they were both performed on adult males. It is a very painful proceedure and I don't think the small reduction in health risks are worth the pain this late in life.

Foxhound, circumsicion predates semetism by a few thousand years and I'm not entirely convinced that gay men so overwhelmingly prefer uncut dicks. It just seems the ones who do prefer it are older and overwhelmingly vocal about it. Most of the young gay guys I know prefer them cut just the same as the young women these days.

DAMN FLAPPY HEADED CANADIANS!

yes.. kinda

there was an recent article in a prominent scientfic magazine ot two about one doctors efforts to control the spread of HIV in africa by performing voluntary circumsions on young men [17-24?] in high incidence regions.. and so far over 3 years it seems to have reduced the HIV positive status of these men versus controls by over 50 %...[all were uninfected when the study started]

now while this method is not fool proof.. remember it is not 100%.. consider that the first HIV vaccine that might recieve approval in a couple of years gives protection to only only 30-50% of the people.. the circumsion data does not sound too bad...

Having said that it is after all your choice.. as nothing in life is free..

PS.. if you want the reference.. let me know...

Myth: Circumcision Prevents HIV
“No studies have conclusively or unequivocably proven a cause-effect relationship, i.e. that the foreskin is a genuine independent risk factor for HIV transmission.” The great majority of sexually active men in the U.S. are circumcised. If the foreskin contributes to the spread of HIV, why is the rate of HIV infection four times lower in Intact Europe? The normal, healthy secretions under the foreskin may actually have an anti-viral effect. Meanwhile, the circumcised penis is prone to tear during sexual activities much more often than the intact penis.

--- International Journal of STD & AIDS 1999, Volume 10, Pages 8-16.

The positive commandment of circumcision is found in the first Book of the Bible. This act is referred to as a Covenant with G-d. He instructs Abraham to circumcise himself and his children and to continue the practice down through the generations. As a matter of fact, the Talmud characterizes Abraham as the first convert, since he was the first person to be instructed by G-d to circumcise himself.
This commandment is the only one that is literally sealed in the flesh and is therefore unique. It serves as a constant reminder to each Jew that he is a descendant of Abraham and a servant of the Al-Mighty.

If you read the New Testament their is a counter to this. As the New Testament chronicles the life of Jesus it says that with the sacrifice he made on the cross the covenant was made for all men so that sacrifice was un-needed. All me whether jew or gentile circumcised or un-circumcised may enter the house of the Lord.

It is true that most women prefer cut - now. My belief is that this is a cultural preference based on the fact that the large majority of 25+ year old men are cut, so women are used to it. On the other hand, the majority of boys born in the last 5 years are uncut, and that trend is likely to continue, so my belief is that 20 years from now women will prefer uncut because that will be what they are used to. In 20 years, being cut will equate to being old and square. We'll see.

Convertible roof

I'm glad my parents opted for the convertible roof. If I ever have a son, I'll do him the same favor.

I have a friend that ripped his foreskin (he was uncircumsized) when he was 25. He had to get an emergency circumsizion. (I know I spelled that wrong) Talk about painful.

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS

Just imagine how painful it would have been if he had been circumcised. He would have ripped the head instead! OUCH!!

That is my experience. Many SP's limit the BBBJ to circumcised cocks. Thank you Mom and Dad :)

The relationship to STD effect, especially HIV, is masked by the politically correct position that circumcision is bad. Scientific reporting is biased by the PC view.

Fact is, the major HIV rates are in global areas where the men are uncut. Orientals and Jews have very low infection rates, and exceptions correlate to unclean blood transfusions (China) and IV drug use.

Europe is the oddball, but it may be explained by lower IV drug use, and less sharing of needles due to less oppressive drug laws.

I didn't think most Orientals were circumcised! The Muslims perhaps but that's not most of them!

my friends and i agree ....

we acknowledge that our preference for uncut is a socialization thing ... but i really cannot help it ... i just do not get into 'uncircumsized' men. [call them 'snuffaluffagus' ...] though heather ... love the turtleneck reference *smile*.

i have wondered what i would do if i had a male child ... knowing my preference, i would not want my son to be unfairly disadvantaged in later years ... but also do not like the idea of traumatizing him ... and then wonder if the socialization will change soon anyways ...
