So this was a smart move by Trump.

Zelensky was stubborn and didn't want to make peace.
Trump threatened to not supply him with arms and logistics anymore.
Zelensky blinks, and has now agreed to a ceasefire.

Nothing that hasn't been on the table before.
(And the real question right now is who benefits more from a ceasefire.)

What is Trump going to do if Putin tells him to pound salt? Is JD Puss Vance and Trump going to attack Putin like they did Zelenskyy?
I've been expecting Trump to say that Rubio didn't have the right to negotiate something without Russia there.

Is Ukraine now allowed to send over a massive drone attack??

Did the US warn Ukraine about this bombardment coming??
Presumably both sides would be agreeing to stop bombing.
Why Russia would do this is unclear.

I think it's clear that Putin pretends to Trumputin to be his friend but in reality he doesn't have much respect for his asset and knows Trump's a dumbass. Putin is a ruthless POS but I would never call him a dumbass.

The question is really what this means in the pudding brain that is Trump.
Remember, he likes optics.

So maybe he goes "I threatened Z, then a cease fire happened, I get Nobel Peace Prize" and supports this even thought it is likely to fall apart before the 30 days.
Or maybe he goes "Rubio gave back the intelligence sharing and stuff, and I told them to cut that out so Zelensky sues for peace on Putin's terms, this is bad".

Don't really know.

Putin's goal is to undermine Ukraine as a nation and if possible annex them entirely or take as much as he can get.
Trump's goal is to plunder and bleed Ukraine dry and then throw them to the sharks.
Ukraine is really caught between two countries that at this point really are its enemies.
From the Russian pov, it is enemy of an enemy....

Joe was never a Russian asset so Putin couldn't pull the strings, sorry
I knew that even before he won the election, if Trump was able to make a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia, that all the Libtards would be mad as hell.

They would rather see the war go on for eternity then to give Trump credit for making peace

If what you said about the threat of nuclear retaliation from NATO to Putin and
cowardice of the Russian army in another thread is true the above shouldn't
transpire and could be easily averted. All it takes is for NATO to send its troops into
Ukraine and the invading Russian troops will run away with their tails between their legs. Ukraine will have its lost territories taken back, its sovereignty restored and
Putin will face his doom back in Moscow.

He was egged on by his VP and attacked Zelenskyy in front of the world to see. What would have happened if he had done this to Putin? DO you think he will do this to Putin if Putin tells him he's an idiot? Why does he kiss Russia's ass but insults and wants to pilage Ukraine?

NATO can only send troops if it is a NATO nation. Which Ukraine isn't.
But right now, the compromised American administration has weakened Ukraine, which is obviously empowers Putin.

Correct me if I am wrong. NATO members do have the freedom to deploy
troops on their own operations. Didn't the U.S. and its British poodle Tony
Blair invade Iraq together? In fact Bush's coalition of the willing invaders
meant to include Canada, France and other NATO members as well. Thankfully
Chretien and other world leaders had the wisdom to decline Bush the
warmonger's invitation to join his coaltion.

France, the UK and other NATO members outside the U.S. surely
can send in troops to save Zelensky's ass. If they don't get full support
of other NATO members they can still venture into Ukraine as a
coalition labelled as something like 'coaltion of Ukraine liberators'
or 'coaltion of the Putin destroyers'. But I can see why the right strategy
is for the French and British sissies to fight cowardly and disorganized
Russian troops to the last Ukrainian.

Yes.
But then you can't say "NATO deployed troops".

Conflating "any action by anyone in NATO' with "NATO actions" is a little disingenuous.
What difference would it make if instead of NATO deployed troops it would be
troops deployed by NATO members as far as the Ukraine war is concerned? I can
see that Ukraine will then be saved by Macron and Starmer but not by Trump and
NATO. Is that a bad thing?
