Argos beat my Stamps tonight...I punished myself by sitting in SkyDome's 100 section and watched the entire debacle. 49-24...who let this idiot Dunnigan speak, never mind coach?

Actually, in all honesty, if the Stampeders held onto the ball...instead of turning it over 4 times which lead to points...this game is close and the Stamps maybe even win.

Oh well...Lions in next week...if my Stamps can't win, I still prefer the western teams, Eskimos excluded, of course.

We should start a new political party or something...we'd have all the non-Edmonton votes and split the votes in Edmonton...

Yeah, and I wonder just what it would take to get them out of the playoffs. Let's see...Eskimos & Sask are tied for second at 7-8, with the Peggers back by one game.

Edmonton has a game this week hosting the Als, next week at Sask, and close out hosting Wpg. Sask finishes at Ottawa, hosting the Eskies and at BC. Winnipeg has Hamilton, at Edmonton, and hosts Calgary.

Based on the above, Winnipeg should win at least two of the three...and with that, I'm seeing a three way tie for second in the West. Not sure what the tiebreaker would be, but maybe the Eskies should just take the rest of the year off...

True...but barring catastrophe in Montreal, the east won't matter. Though BC has started to run away with the west as well, so who knows.

I'll be very interested to see how Calgary fairs with Khari Jones at QB...but that will be next year as I think they're too far gone this year.

As for the Argos, they have flashes of brilliance and, odds are, with the Als hosting the Eastern Final they'll have to be brilliant to win that game. I'm not even sure when the Argos last beat the Als/Stallions/CFLers...or whatever.

You know, I actually miss those American teams...not because they were American but because more teams made it just a little more interesting.

Let me rephrase my earlier statement...I miss the 13 team league, but they don't have to be US teams. When the league gets around to expansion for at least the 10th...if not 11th & 12th franchises, I'll be happier. Figure Halifax, Moncton, London or Quebec City, but non have proper stadiums in place yet.

As for season tickets, it wasn't all that long ago that the Stamps almost folded up the tent. Seems to me, in the late 80s just prior to Flutie (and the owner who's name escapes me but he was a buddy of McNall's) the team was close to bankruptcy. So I think they may have a point to sit out Khari in a purely business sense. That also being said, if he plays well it may give people a taste of what they want to come next season.

Well, Toronto has finally fixed that. Mind you, the U of T pulled out of the new stadium deal so now its likely going to York University...only problem there, as I'm alumni I know this all too well, is there is no subway connection to York.

Funny...Ryckman goes south due to law...Risen comes north for the same reason. Saw him at that game and he was the first one in every touchdown celebration. It just got silly after awhile.

That's what the news reports have been saying. Apparently York was involved originally and the original idea was for U of T just due to location more than anything else.
