I am interested to see how Lesnar's career develops, he is not without potential. He should have owned Mark Coleman, but I don't think he is ready for Herring. I am interested to see what happens.

Yeah but its the only upcoming one I care about. The June and July UFC's are trash in my opinion. Perhaps other than Rampage/Griffin but even that might be a wash.

The Clay Guida-Mac Danzig fight should be interesting. Would like to see how Mac Danzig handles himself in the face of Clay Guida's crazy pace. It is probably gonna be a KO from Guida or Danzig by rear naked choke.

I don't think Jon Fitch is ready for GSP, provide if GSP doesn't party his ass off with hot women and comes prepared (unlike GSP-Serra 1). The Huerta-"I finish fight" Florian should be pretty interesting. But like Fitch, neither of those guys can match up against a BJ Penn who's not eating too many burritos.

Lesnar does have potential in MMA, unlike Kimbo Slice. With a few fights under his belt and an improved submission-avoiding ground game, he should be a force in the thin UFC heavyweight division. Herring is a tough opponent, but I give Lesnar a 45% chance of winning, and 1% chance of pulling off a F-5.

I have a feeling the Brock will beat Herring...Herring won't be able to handle Brock's takedown...Didn't Herring get beaten by Jake O'Brien (whose wrestling isn't as strong as Brock's)...


Damien Maia should pull a grappling clinic on Jason MacDonald....Except another slick sub from Maia....


Agree about Danzig and Guida....That should be an entertaining fight....Fast paced...Definitely a good test for Danzig....


GSP may try to strike with Fitch and try to avoid turning it into a MMA wrestling match...Fitch may be the only one in thier weight class who has stronger MMA wrestling than GSP...
GSP definitely has more weapons in his aresenal but if it turns into a wrestling contest it could be anybody's game...
Also agree that neither Huerta or Florian will be able to handle BJ Penn....

Apparently Carlos Newton has been named as Karo Parisyan's opponent. That's a bit of a surprise.

Also Frankie Edgar and the no longer suspended Hermes Franca is also official for UFC 87. This is shaping up to be a hell of a card

I guess Mir/Nogueira is now the Ultimate Fighter season so they'll fight in December?
I guess Guida/Danzig is no longer on the card and postponed until September 17 on UFC Fight Night?

Heath Herring lies down for Brock Lesnar to win for Dana and the home crowd.
Roger Huerta finally shuts up Ken Florian *On paper one of the best fights ever!*
Georges St. Pierre rolls easily through overrated Jon Fitch

I can't decide whether to drive to this one or not. Tickets are still available. I do not have that much desire to see Minnesota, though it is a lot closer than Vegas.

Wow I never checked the location of the fight - Minnesota is definitely worth the drive - at least to me as I a) don't drive and b) haven't seen a fight live.
C Dick I say go for it - it's actually a pretty good card as far as the matchups, maybe not a huge amount of high-profile fighters but pretty evenly matched which can often mean some really good technical fights.

I can't wait for this set of fights. Sadly, I'll have to find a bar to go watch the pay-per-view, and I'll have to go early to stake out seats, but it will be totally worth it.

GSP vs Jon Fitch is going to be a sweet fight, but GSP is going to win.

I don't think I've seen Brock Lesner fight before, but he looks like a beast.

My vote goes to Huerta over Florian, and I'm rooting for Danzig over Guida, because goddamn it, I hate his hair. I hate watching him flick it out of his face. Just tie it back! Such a girl thing to say, but honestly.

I don't get why they didn't air the Silva Eilers fight on the main card. But overall I enjoyed all the fights on the card. I was glad to see Lawler win but Scott Smith could have easily won that fight if he just put more pressure on Robbie when he cut him open. Both guys put on an amazing fight though.

The WEC card for this weekend looks great also.

Well you are going to have to wait since it's not on the 9th. This fight has been postponed until Sept 17 to bolster UFC Fight Night.
