I'm not a huge UFC guy, but I don't recognize too many names on there aside from Gonzaga. Not to say they won't be good fights, I just don't know how any of these guys fight.

I am looking forward to Fedor vs Tim Sylvia in 2 weeks time...I believe UFC is free that night too.

Yup, the UFC event on the 19th will be free and you'll be able to watch the fights on Spike.

I think tonights card will have some really good fights. I think Cote Vs. Almeida will be one of the best fights of the night. I hope Cote wins the fight. However, Almeida's BBJ skills are amazing and if Cote wants to win this fight be needs to make it into a complete stand-up bout.

I can't wait to see Jackson Vs. Griffin. I think the oddsmakers are completely justified in giving Griffin a 30% chance to win the fight. Rampage will work his ground and pound and beat Griffin, but he won't be able to do it as easily as many might think. I have a very very strong feeling the outcome of the fight is going to be controversially, with either a early stoppage in Rampage's favor or a very close decision.

Here are my official picks for tonight:
Quinton Jackson
Joe Stevenson
Tyson Griffin
Josh Koscheck
Cole Miller

I'll be very suprised if Rampage doesn't knock Forrest out....The only thing Forrest has going for him is his coniditioning and size and he might be able to win a boring decision by smothering Rampage or trying to use his distance and pull a Tim Sylvia but hitting with his jab and staying out of Rampage's range (Griffin is a bit taller though I'm not sure about his wing sapn)...
Rampage is too strong and I really think Forrest wil get a big KO in the second or third round - Griffin has been knocked out by Jardine (Keith Jardine?) and Rampage has knocked out the Iceman (who has a solid chin) so I would say its looking good for a highlight knockout....

Cote is gonna get submitted by Almeida...Almeida's grappling is gonna take over once it the fight hits the ground....Cote's takedown defense isn't gonna do much.....Almeida by submission is the second round....Armbar or maybe another Triangle from the mount...

Other winners tonight:

Stevenson (GNP in the second round)
Koscheck (Decision)
Gonzaga (Submission in the second - Guillotine)
Griffin (Decision)

The last two fights - Who cares really?
Can't believe Gurgel, Cole Miller and Corey Hill are still in the UFC...

It will be a big night for MMA that weekend.....

Affliction Banned... Tim Sylvia Versus Emelianko Fedor

UFC Fight Night on Spike....Anderson Silva fighting in LHW for the first time

Dream 5......
The conclusion of the Lightweight Grand Prix
Shinya Aoki versus Caol Uno
Eddie Alvarez versus Tetsuya "Crusher" Kawajiri
Winners will fight each other for the Grand Prix Title

Most excited about Dream 5....The Lightweight Grand Prix has been amazing.....

Affliction Banned even though with all its hype has only the one intriguing fight between Fedor and Sylvia....After that the match-ups are kind of thin...

I really respect your thoughts in regards to MMA, and I'm glad to see our picks match.

I couldn't seem to pull the triger and bet on the Cote Almeida fight but you've swayed me to place a wager on Almeida.

Enjoy the fight tonight guys.

Sorry Young_City....
Hope that you didn't lose too much...Almeida just fucked around and just waited to take it on the ground - when he did he didn't too much with it.... and his stand up was really disappointing....

And the Rampage fight?
That was a bullshit decision....Forrest may have thrown more punches but Rampage landed more effective ones....
I really thought Jackson won that fight....

I had a parlay with Stevenson, Tyson, and Koscheck and was up for the night but I got carried away and put a shit load of money on Rampage, and I got it right before the fight started and at the time Rampage was a 3:1 favorite so the juice killed me. But I've had some sick beats this week, and thankfully I'm actually in the positive for the week, so I can't complain.

I agree with the Rampage decision. I think Forrest dominated the second round but I can't see how the judges gave him a unanimous decision. I thought that it would be a split decision in Rampages favor. I thought the fight was very close to being even going into the last round. And in the last round nether fighter really did too much damage but I thought Rampage did just enough to win the round.

Still it was a decent card, well worth the $60. Hopefully Nadal wins tomorrow so I can make up for the Rampage loss.

I just found how the judges scored the fight...and two of the judges scored the second round 10-8 in favor of Griffin. If they had scored the fight as a 10-9 round for Griffin then Rampage would have won. I just watched the second round again and I really don't think Griffin deserved to have to judges give him a 10-8 round, but then again I am somewhat biased in my opinion so I could be wrong.

Rampage clearly won the fight. I am a huge fan of both fighters but Rampage should have won either 4 rounds to 1 or 3 rounds to 2. The onlyround in question for me was the 5th round because it was uneventful.

Also Cote put me to sleep, that was a super boring fight.

The whole card put me to sleep. I want my money back. 5 "big" fights and no KO's??? WTF? Even Forrest during his interview asked the crowd due to their booing, "Hey what the hell? We tried our best". As for winning the decision . . . .well . . . Forrest is Dana Whie's boy so it's not surprising that the "decision" went his way. All the former PRIDE guys are getting the short end of the stick these days in the UFC. Also, Josh Koscheck is the most boring and unimaginative MMA fighter I have ever seen - his one and only strategy seems to be to run across the octagon, tackle the opponent, and then sit on him for 15 minutes. Booooooooooooooooring!

The one thing I figured out is that unless you have a crowd of friends over, the $49.95 HDprice for this stuff just isn't worth it. I enjoy MMA, but not enough to spend $250-$500 a year to watch it

imo rampage won the fight but i was telling everyone in the bar that round 2 was like a 10-8 round for forrest. 4:30 on top of rampage with no offence from the bottom. nothing devastating done by forrest but total control of the round.

i wasn't watching the cote fight closely but i felt cote loss. i was cheering for cote so was happy but feel the judges messed that fight result as well.

best fight of the night was melvin guillard. i was saying the fight wouldn't last 10 seconds. i was pretty close!!! :)

What is FTA Satelite and Viewsat? I just pay for the PPV, is there a better way?

I was disappointed by the card, too many decisions, and I expected Rampage to put up a better fight.

I would also like to know more about this. I usually get all of the UFC events, as well as some boxing events.

Thanks in advance.

Two words "restrictive condo".
If you have a balcony, its easily done. The installer can place it in such a way that it is not visible from outside. My condo has strict rules, but they really cannot prevent you from having one, as long as it does not contravene any rules.

The second thing is that unless someone files a complaint, there is almost no way that the building management can know you have a dish. Finally, all they can do is ask you to take it down. If you do not, they have to take you to court to make you remove it.
