Strange review by Tom's that is not reflected over all in the Ubuntu forums.....

I've really had none of the problems Tom's mentions. 64 bit KK clean installed flawlessly on both my laptop and new Dell in about 30 minutes using the new EXT4 filesystem over old EXT3. KK even ran fine on that 12 year old Gateway P2 that was just retired. KK runs well on both PCs. FWIW, prior versions HH, II, JJ and now KK all ran well for me.

This version has been an absolute nightmare for me, between the constant freezing of the OS itself and of both Opera and Firefox, and to top it all off I downloaded through Wubi but cannot uninstall now because of a strange error message.

Never liked WUBI because, while it's a good idea and easy to use, it limited OS performance some.
Preferred a clean install on a dual boot system or a PC with only Ubuntu installed.

$$$ is brought up because both the M$ & Linux camps are amazed at how easily the Mac cultists are swayed to toss it away on overpriced Apple stuff...

Not really. There's a big difference between just blowing $$$ and saving $$$...
