TV sitcom couples

Anyone watch the television show 'King of Queens'? On this show, this somewhat rotund package deivery guy is married to this ultra hot woman. I can't think of a real life couple where such a disparity in appearance was evident unless the guy is loaded. There's another new show that portrays a similar couple - portly hubby and mega hot wife. I think the latter show is called 'Still Standing'.... or something like that. Same deal with the Jim Belushi sitcom, the title of which escapes me at the moment.

I'm not sure if the male characters in these shows should give me hope or if I should consider the scenarios too unrealistic to draw hope from them! Does anyone know of a real-life couple like this where the far less attractive guy has no money? Could the SPs on this board see themselves falling for guys like these??? (In real life!)

Also, if anyone happens to know of an incall SP that resembles the wife on 'King of Queens' please share!! ;)

I love King of Queens as well (why do you think I stop taking appointments at 6?)

I always hear people complain about how he has this hot wife, but when I was living in New York, all I saw were ugly fat men with hot wives. I think it's because the women are trashy and bitchy and can't get anyone to stay with them long enough to actually have a relationship, so they settle for what they can get.

Keeping in mind that Carrie is supposed to represent the "typical" Long Island/Queens Stereotype... Her fake nails, teased hair, designer clothes and bitchy attitude are perfect.

Btw, I read that they were married to each other in real life, is this true?

Most women will tell you that it's not a mans wallet or GQ appearance that got her. It was his SENSE OF HUMOR!!! Everyone is saying she's thin, he's fat, blah blah blah, but look at the chemistry between them! I feel sorry for people who think that a marriage works because both husband and wife are thin. How stupidly shallow! It's because they click!!

What does Carrie say brought them together? The fact that they don't talk about anything serious (except the miscarrying episode, that was just brutal) and the fact that they're both lazy, somewhat shallow and selfish people.

This show is one of my favourites. As long as they keep the frigging baby out of the episodes I'll keep watching. As soon as they jump the shark, I'm outta there!

On the old Seinfeld show George was always dating good looking women.

Maybe I should move to Quebec. Ever notice how some of those Qebec politicians had beautiful wives - like Lucien Bouchard and Jacques Parizeau.

Yeah, but not a good example. These guys have power and status, which overrides their appearance.
