Trump wins and everybody loves a winner. He defied all pundits, even those in his on party who had their knives out for him and kept winning steadily in increments until last night when he reached the top. His promises however will be very onerous if not possible to carry out and those who bought into much of his rhetoric where already some of the most fed up, frustated and delusional people in America who as of January 2017 are the rightful prey of this charlatan. Trump, a very shrewd man did not believe much of what he was saying and we should expect to see many promises broken during his tenure. Hillary Clinton insincerity and lack of candor ultimately did her in and she was not able to tap into the sector that Obama successfully reached for two terms.

Just as you and the pundits were wrong about Trump's ability to win, you're also wrong again in your assessment of the man.

Trump believed a lot of what he said in regards to trade, immigration, and taxes. So, prepared to be proven wrong again.

One thing you're right about is that it will be onerous for him to carry out many things. But if it can be done, he will get it done.

By the time of the election Trump had already changed his positions on many things. For example, if you really believe Trump is gonna build a wall or that he is gonna ban all Muslims from entering the USA you are in for a big surprise. That will never happen. Many of Trump's promises were just so unrealistic. Many in the white working class are having a hard time because of massive technological changes ...there is not much Trump can do for them unless they upgrade their skills. The working classes are in for a big shock because Trump has no concrete policies to create jobs.

True that the only real long term solution to jobs will be technological. Advancements in technology such as 3-D printing will completely change the landscape.

I'm agree with the above. The jobs are long gone, it belongs now to those who are tech savvy.

Ditto, I agree as well. The Trump euphoria will decline when supporters find the changes he's proposing run counter to the "new" economic reality. Ditto too for the union workers in the Rust Belt states that believe he will bring back those long gone manufacturing jobs.

If you believe that, then I've got a deal for you on swamp land in Alaska (oh yeah, you could see Russia from it as well).

Very very few of Trump's grass roots supporter are people with the skills to bring back the manufacturing sector. They lack the worth ethic and skills of those over seas, particularly in Asia for the most part. The US graduate and post graduate programs in science and technology are filled with foreigner mostly not Americans and if they are American born they are often Asian Americans. The Trump vote was a desperation and frustration vote over many things, most of which Trump cannot do anything about.

Adaptation is survival. Plain and simple. Technology has replaced sweat, essentially.
