“Mr. Brennan has recently leveraged his status as a former high-ranking official with access to highly sensitive information to make a series of unfounded and outrageous allegations — wild outbursts on the internet and television — about this administration,” Sanders said, reading the president’s statement.
“Mr. Brennan’s lying and recent conduct, characterized by increasingly frenzied commentary, is wholly inconsistent with access to the nation’s most closely held secrets and facilitates the aim of our adversaries, which is to sow division and chaos,” she continued.
Donald Trump's presidency:
1) "access to highly sensitive information"
2) "making a series of unfounded and outrageous allegations - wild outbursts on the internet and television" throughout his presidency on a near hourly basis
3) his "lying and recent conduct, characterized by increasingly frenzied commentary, is wholly inconsistent with access to the nations most closely held secrets and facilitates the aim of our adversaries ...."
It is indisputable that Trump has engaged in 2) and 3) and that 1) is deeply disturbing and dangerous.
Trump has set the precedent and has laid the groundwork to have his security clearance self-revoked.
He cannot discharge the duties of his office, actually he never did nor endeavored to attempt to, and without a security clearance he must resign and/or impeach himself.
Will Trump adhere to the precedent that he has set?
