A War with Russia would be brutal and one we could not win. Aside from the fact we're broke and couldn't pay for a War. Russia is allied with China and Iran. And a host of other countries. All they would have to do is dump all of there US Dollar holdings and we would be in the Third World overnight. Not too smart but I've not seen anything intelligent come out of Washington in my lifetime. Unless you include War, Fraud, Porn, and exporting garbage.
