Didn't the CCP already exempt pharmaceuticals, microchips, aircraft engines, etc. manufactured in the U.S. days ago?

Oh wait, Xi doesn't even trust China's own C919 and flew his Boeing to Russia.

C919 is not a long haul plane. and Xi's plane is like an air force 1. It has specific equipment for presidential transport.

I guess that means Xi and China need Boeing doesnt it? Who caved?
For now they do, but they are not taking deliveries of new planes from Boeing and will buy more Airbus planes instead. COMAC will be the largest civil airliner manufacturer in the world in 10-20 years. There is no stopping them.

I wonder who makes the screws for COMAC...where do they get their metal works...
China is capable of making the absolute highest quality fasteners in the world. You do know that they have their own space station right?

There you go again going off topic. This discussion isn't about China exempting pharmaceuticals, microchips, or aircraft engines. Has that even happened? If so, you'll need to provide credible evidence. And even if it’s true, it may have been a response to Trump’s own aggressive move, like the 145% tariff he imposed on China.
This isn’t about being pro- or anti-Trump or Xi. The real issue is Trump's use of tariffs as a form of economic bullying, targeting countries around the world to advance his political agenda. He’s using tariffs as a smokescreen, claiming that other nations have "ripped off America."
His plan was to collect tariffs on foreign goods and use the revenue to eliminate federal taxes, simply shifting the tax burden rather than reducing it. Half of America, and much of the world, sees this for what it is:. The reckless behavior of a man who shouldn't be in charge.

I think what I responded with is actually quite relevant to the topic. The topic was on China tariffs and so naturally discussing retaliatory tariffs and concessions is quite pertinent information.

China has created a list of U.S.-made products that would be exempted from its 125 per cent tariffs and is quietly notifying companies about the policy, two people familiar with the matter said, as Beijing seeks to ease the impact of its trade war with Washington.

China has already granted tariff exemptions on select products, including select pharmaceuticals, microchips and aircraft engines, and was asking firms to identify critical goods they need levy-free, Reuters reported last week. However, the existence of a "whitelist" had not been previously reported.

The quiet approach allows Beijing, which has repeatedly said it is willing to fight until the end unless the U.S. lifts its 145 per cent tariffs, to maintain its public messaging while privately taking practical steps to provide concessions.

As for the real issue and has been discussed ad nauseum, China has been bullying the world for decades since its inclusion into the WTO. The West has continually let them get away with it. But...yeah Hainan incident (spoiler - already proven to be chronologically and factual incorrect)
