Travel medical coverage - best provider?

Some real scams out there. I am only looking for coverage for catastrophic stuff not worried about a few hundred bucks in medical.. any suggestions?

If you have any pre existing conditions that may cause you to be denied apply to a bunch of different providers at once. If you're denied by one or two no big deal because you were truthful with all of them when you checked of no on the box asking if you'd ever been denied coverage.

Depending on how you are travelling, some credit cards provide this automatically when you book the trip.

I find CAA's rates good for this sort of insurance. I think RBC overcharges.

I have used travel underwriters and had no problem in collecting my claim and their quotes were quite cheap compared to the banks....

via www.kanetix.ca it is even cheaper

The underwriters seems to cap medical at 5K which is a joke..I am more worried about a major expense the a few small bills.

actually I looked at the policy again. It offers 2M in coverage for emergency medical, so pretty good. I think I will go for that.
