Transfering favorites from one computer to another.

I have a Toshiba laptop running windows vista and the bookmarks are stored on the Firefox browser. Can I transfer, en masse, the entire group of bookmarks to another computer running windows. If so , how?

Can I transfer all my documents as well? If so, any advice on the easiest way of doing it?

Not sure if this is the best way but here is what I do. Download the docs to a USB key and then plug the USB key into the other computer and upload the docs.

Suggestion: To keep your important docs, porn and nudie pics safe from hackers, keep them in an external harddrive.

Thanks, Rockslinger. Great suggestion regarding the external hard drive and the docs. Any suggestion regarding the bookmarks? I have a lot of important ones and do not want to give them up.

What is happened is sort of a wake up call. I think my fan is dying and need a replacement. I have been quoted $150 for parts and labor. I want to get everything transferred off of that computer before something else happens.

The only thing I know about bookmarks is that they survived cleaning the cache. Don't know if you can transfer them to another computer.

I replaced a fan on one of my older computers myself. Went to a recycle store and bought a used fan for $5. Total cost $5 and about 1 hour of my time.

You can link your Firefox browser on your Toshiba to your other computer and the whole shebang will get transferred. It is pretty cool stuff. Check out firefox Sync.

If you want to transfer folders, a good way to do it is by using google drive.

This is really simple. In Firefox go to "View all bookmarks" > "Export bookmarks" > Then choose a location to save it to.

To import your bookmarks to a new Firefox, just go to "View all bookmarks" > "Import bookmarks." The entire process shouldn't take more than ten seconds.

Chrome gives you an account which has all your favorites.

Use Firefox sync. Go to tools>addons>sync. Options are there to sync bookmarks, passwords, just about anything, between Firefox on any computers
