In a handbasket, wanna come along?
The Trans Siberian Orchestra was in Toronto tonite and the show had alot of new suprises, greta as always. For those not in the know its a christmas show with a rock band doing christmas and classical songs. Lots of fun, gets you in the mood for the season.

What a great finale!! When do you ever expect to see pyro and lasers at a Christmas concert? Fantastic. I'll be back next year.

Actually 2 years ago they played Massey Hall, last year and this year at the Air Canada Centre. The show keeps getting bigger and better. They'll be back again in December next year.

Last night they played a piece from their new album. It was called O Fortuna from Carmen Burana. You might recognize this number as the ones the monks sing in the Rickards' Red commercial airing on TV now. This number blew me away!!

Their version of "Carol of the Bells" (which also features Metallica) is awesome. Christmas music with a kick.

Yeah, this show rocked! Chris Cafferty was a cool frontman/guitarist. The Bass player looked like Antonio Banderas "Theatrer des Vampyre" from Interview with the Vampire.

A totally wicked light show ala Pink Floyd/Kiss.

The only dawback was the female singers/dancers. A bit cheesy and an obvious attempt to put a little T & A/eye candy into the show. They simply were not up to the level of the other musicians.
