I'm looking at purchasing a new vehicle and was just wondering what you guys think would be a better purchase? I've heard a lot of good things about the Venza from friends but have yet to hear very much about the Murano..is that a bad thing lol? Thanks.

I think the Rogue and the X-Terra takes attention away from the Murano.

Check out edmunds.com for research.

I would suggest neither of the two. I've had the Murano 2006 model and all i can say is that i'm glad i got rid of it. Other cars i would suggest are the fx35 or 50 or gmc acadia , yukon or Tahoe.

Thanks, don't mean to harp on you but what was the problem with the Murano? I do agree with you as I have also been looking at Infinity but their prices are a little too steep.

Wherever I shouldn't be
They both look nice on the road, but I like how the venza looks better. its probably better on gas.
The Venza looks cheap inside. No sizzle. EX35 is reasonable, or how about an Acura RDX. I have an MDX, and i love it but it is $55k

Venza: Personal choice.

I would prefer the Venza, because.

- I like the looks.

- It is reliable.

- The image of a Venza is that people that own it do not go with the trends.

- Yet, the Venza still looks good.

- It is lower than other SUVs, so it handles in corners better.

- It's a Toyota.

Murano Driver

I had the same question a few months ago - and test drove both. I bought the Murano. In my case, I found that the Murano had more power and was a better / smoother ride. and I liked the CVT transmission. I only see seniors driving the Venza anyway > so happy I didn't go that route.

No problem. Firstly, I had started experiencing electrical problems such as airbag sensor, front headlight burnt out in 3 weeks, airbag sensor problem stayed on for about the first 5 months, until they figured it out.

Service people really rude and don't have much knoelde. Radiator blew up on me during the warranty which they fixed.

I take care of my cars and this was the first and last nissan vehicle that I ever did or will purchase.
