I did toronto and it was fun, but being a single under 30, going for tourism, customs gave me a hard time. I have all paper work, no record, and even had iteniary for mueseums and crap. They asked me what you doin, then after you see that mueseum then what, then what, who you seeing. very invasive questions, after being flaged , I get the same set of questions, and finaly get the ok, after 20 minutes. This was at YYZ, if not for hassle Id go to toronto fast, but they probably get very suspicious. That being said what are your experiences. If I go to Niagra, I can say, Im here for gambling,(Then what) black jack, . With Nevada its legal, no customs, but I have no info on any nevada boards. Are there any suggestions, for easier toronto or canada customs entry, I kept thinking If I said I was here on business or for some dumb convention I would not have been hassled. Does Niagra Providers work 12 months a year, so if I went in december it was ok. Also are Niagra Hotels, or what hotels are provider friendly (i.e Niagra Fallsview Casino, Shertaon Falls, Marriot Falls) 4 star type.

Also customs kept asking me when you goin back, when , when, let me see your return ticket, so I say no one ever gets ticket till they check in that day there like, oh, ya, they asked for recipts where i was stayin, lots and lots of questions, and the when you goin back didnt seem firnedly, was suprising, Im a cuacasian, if any one think that matters.? Any opionions help be apreciated

No worries, just keep going to the Falls and Toronto

I enjoy having my vehicle searched by Canadian customs...it is quite humorous when they find any "toys" in my luggage. I have been searched a couple of times...when I drove an older pick-up truck. Now that I drive a new Honda...I never get stopped. I always say that I am coming to Canada for gambling. I cross at Fort Erie-Buffalo about 4 or 5 times a year. Piss on Vegas and providers in the US...all are ripoffs and at best.. cost twice as much as the falls. Keep a good frame of mind and enjoy friend. I used to be Joe Tunge on here... btw.

Gambling

The customs believe all are evil. But when you say gambling, you are performing an acceptably legal , evil vice, however tax man collects, ok pass thru

I have had similar experiences crossing Canada-US border... American customs officers loooooooove to search trunk of my car... and questions, questions, questions... Where are you going? Where are you staying? How do you know him? -Is sleeping with a man a good reason to visit him? - No. How long are you planning to stay? - Till his bank account gets lighter... To see those confused faces - Priceless. For everything else is Master Card. :p his Master Card.
Absolutely love to travel. It is very erotic to interract with the autorities.

Interesting, because I find Canadian customs to be a breeze, relatively speaking, although lately, the U.S. customs at YYZ has been pretty quick too. I usually tell the Canadian officials that I am here on business, and then they ask me what company I work for. You can basically say anything at that point, because I have never had them ask me for any kind of documentation. They then might ask me why I am here, and I usually say, I'm here for a meeting. If they are really diligent, they might ask what kind of meeting, and then you can say anything--personnel discussions, marketing plans, annual reviews, etc. Then they might ask where I am staying, and again, you can basically say anything, because they never check. Only once have I ever had my bags checked at Canadian customs in YYZ. It seems to me all they are doing is a very cursory check, and as long as you don't say something strange, they will pass you through.

I wonder what they would do if you said, "I'm here to bang your finest hookers".

As long as you bring enough money, I think that would be fine.

If you plan on visiting regularly, you may want to apply for a NEXUS card for driving across the border and/or a CANPASS for clearing customs at the airport.

If your application is approved, you basically go through customs with no questions asked. You may still be subject to a random search however.
