You can get Hepatitis everywhere. You're telling me that the farm workers leave the fields to take a piss or shit? Of course not they go in the fields. My doctor a few years ago I should get the Hep a and B called Twinrix if I travelled and its the best thing I've done. Even restaurant workers can go to the washroom and not wash themselves. They don't have a cure for Hep B. I recommended getting the Vaccine and no I'm not a big pharma shill.

News Release

Toronto Public Health (TPH) is reporting a confirmed case of Hepatitis A in an employee working at Earls Kitchen + Bar (601 King St. W.) and is encouraging diners who may have been exposed to the virus to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Hepatitis A is transmitted from person to person by the fecal-oral route. It is found in the stool of a person infected with the virus. A common route of exposure is through food contaminated by infected food handlers. It is not spread by coughing or sneezing.

Exposures may have occurred on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, July 15: 4:30 p.m. to close

About Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A is a virus that can cause a liver infection. Symptoms can last a few days to several months. Most people who are infected recover completely and develop lifetime immunity following infection.

Hepatitis A can be serious. Older people and those with chronic liver disease are at a greater risk of more serious illness including hospitalization. Unlike Hepatitis B and C, Hepatitis A does not develop into chronic hepatitis. Death from Hepatitis A infection is rare.

Symptoms can begin 15 to 50 days after becoming infected. It is also possible to be infected and not have any symptoms. For symptomatic individuals, the severity of symptoms can range from mild to severe and include:

  • Fever
  • Tiredness
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea/vomiting
  • Dark urine
  • Stomach pains
  • Jaundice (yellowing of the skin)

Hepatitis A can be avoided by:

  • Getting the Hepatitis A vaccine
  • Not handling or preparing food for anyone if you are ill
  • Washing your hands often and thoroughly using soap and warm water. This is especially important after using the bathroom, changing a diaper, and before preparing or eating food
  • Always wash fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • If you are travelling, especially outside of North America, be sure the water supply is safe before drinking it and use caution when consuming ice.

If you are experiencing symptoms of Hepatitis A, contact TPH at 416-338-7600 or speak with your primary health care provider.

Serial Butt Sniffer Arrested Again in California

A Glendale man with a history of lewd behavior was arrested after police received a report of a suspicious individual loitering in a California department store in Burbank, California. Police officers arrested 38-year-old Calese Carron Crowder after officers allegedly observed the man crouching behind a woman and sniffing her buttocks, a lewd act Crowder is suspected of committing in the past.

According to a Burbank Police Department press release, officers responded to a report of a suspicious individual in the Nordstrom Rack department store at 1601 North Victory Place. Upon arrival, police were informed by store employees that the man had left the store. Police began searching the surrounding businesses in the hope of locating the man nearby.

During a search of a nearby Walmart, Calese Carron Crowder was located moving around the various departments of the big-box retailer. Using the store’s surveillance system, officers monitored the suspect as he walked through the women’s department, where he was observed following a female customer.

According to the officers, Crowder was observed and captured on video as he crouched behind the female customer and inappropriately sniffed her buttocks. After observing the lewd behavior, officers approached Calese Crowder and detained him for further investigation.

According to authorities, Crowder is a registered sex offender, on active parole, who has a long history of peeping, prowling, and residential burglary in the Burbank and Glendale area. This incident is not the first incident where Crowder has been suspected of committing a lewd olfactory offense. In August 2023, Calese Crowder was the subject of a viral video posted on TikTok showing him creeping up behind a woman in a Barnes & Noble bookstore and crouching as he appears to sniff the unsuspecting customer’s buttocks.

According to the Glendale Police Department, Crowder’s criminal history dates back much further. Police say he was arrested in June 2011 for a series of peeping and residential burglaries in their city. He was convicted and sentenced to eight years in prison.

Records show that Crowder was suspected of several reported cases of peeping and burglaries that occurred between 2020 and 2021. Glendale authorities again arrested Crowder in September 2021 and charged him with prowling and disorderly conduct, the police statement revealed.

Crowder is being held on $100,000 bail and faces one count of loitering with intent to commit a crime. According to authorities, his next court appearance following his latest arrest is scheduled for August 1, 2025.
