Rumors persist that Zidane will be joining an MLS team. I'd pay to see him play.

now that sounds like a true MLSE team.

BTW- wasn't that game 4?

that's what I thought I heard...

scoring will come, but this first season is going to be a long difficult one.

...How long will the novelty last..?
The Star yesterday said that at least 18,500 tickets had already been sold for every home game this year.
I thought they were allowed to sign one player who does not count towards the salary cap? You would think they could afford it, but it may go against the usual MLSE philosophy of putting profit ahead of winning.

Good game today. It was cool out there at the stadium, particularly in the West seats which were in the shade but at least the bugs weren't out.

I was surprised at how the defence collapsed and lost track of the ball when Chicago scored their loan goal. But I was pleased at the quality of Toronto's goals.

Another nice thing was once again the fans. The crowd was definitely into the game, particularly that group in the south-east corner of the stadium. (Anyone know where they're from? Thos flags they keep waving seem somewhat Slovenian but I know it's not the Slovenian flag.) The stadium looked almost at capacity although there were more empty seats than during home game 1.

The only thing I didn't like was the amount of pushing & shoving particularly in the first half. I was afraid the ref had lost control of the game. There should have been a few more red cards handed out and certainly some yellows as well.

Hats off to the Toronto FC team for taking a moment to go thank the fans after the game had ended.

Here here. We need more real sports in Toronto, now that the NHL has become a laughing-stock.

Soccer's a good start. It's only the most popular sport in the world.

Rugby would be great, too.

Toronto FC has become a hot topic in North American soccer. Apparently the fans are getting the reputation of being the rowdiest north of Mexico with the cushion throwing incident last Saturday. We are also the most intimidating crowd for other MLS teams. On note Toronto FC did beat the defending champions Houston Dynamo 1-0 today. Woohoo two in a row!

I am loving the rowdy crowds although the marketing genius who decided it was a good idea to hand seat cushions to soccer fans, i am hoping is looking for a new job.

I wonder what will happen when the novelty wears off , will the crowds remain that large and rowdy in this one team town?

because there is a knowledgeable soccer base in this town but they are all dedicated to AC Milan, Celtic or Man Utd.
