Toronto and Vancouver sex assaults linked by DNA

A $50,000 reward will be up for grabs in the hunt for a predator believed to be responsible for two historic sex attacks.

Toronto Police Det. Ali Ansari, of the Sex Crimes Unit’s Cold Case Section, will reveal the latest details in the attacks, dating back more than two decades, at a news conference Friday morning.

The two sex assaults, which occurred in Toronto in 1992 and Vancouver in 1985, have been linked by DNA, police say.

Two composite sketches of a man wanted in the cold cases will be released.

The reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest is also expected to be announced
