The spirit of Toronto always had people hobbying since the 1800's
which was first named York. Became a Hockey nation and big market in the later years

Toronto's 150th birthday was called "sesquiscentennial"(hope I got spelling right).

Is there a name for 175th anniversary?

Toronto 175th birthday

The Bicentennial of Toronto's founding as York was, however, back in 1993.

I constantly shake my head about how municipalities do this, the place is two, three, four hundred years old and has a fairly subdued commemoration and then reaches the centennial of being incorporated as a City or becoming Class A Township or whatever and wants to make a big deal of it.

It's still a nice city whether 215 years old or 175.
