Finally it appears Harpo has crossed the line and the opposition has be galvanized into action. I can't believe just how idiotic this move of Harper was. he calculated that the Libs and NDP could never risk dealing with the Bloc, but the financial crisis has given them the justification to do so. I think Harpo is finished, and him and his MP's will soon be in opposition. Everyday brings a new backtrack, but the train has already left the station I suspect.

Anyone else considered the possibility that they see some really bad shit happening in the near future that nothing can be done to stop & they simply don't want to be in charge because whoever's watch this shit happens in will be villified for a long time?

Example: what if they are certain that the dollar & economy is months away from a total assfucking & nothing can be done to stop it?

I would get out of office ASP any way I could, let the Libs take over just in time for everything to go to hell.... then return on a white horse saying "See what happened when these fucktards got into office? WE can fix it".

If the coming disaster was severely acute sort of thing that would improve with time it could be the opportunity to bury the opposition for some time to come.

Liebearls & the NCP are all about getting into office & staying in office. Next election is the furthest out they cn plan. The Conservtives I think are cpable of a far longer-term gameplan

Yep, and all it took to get their blood up was an attempt to take money away from them.

It's great to see the opposition working together though. Finally they found something to motivate them into action.

Financial crisis? Do you mean the financial crisis at party headquarters?

It's possible, I guess.

I take it you are looking forward to the possibility of Dion as PM.

A rather enigmatic rise to power, don't you think? All he had to do was lose 20 seats in an election, his party's leadership and make a deal with traitors.

We'll be in good hands now.

I think Dion will be a far better PM that Harpo. How many manufacturing jobs have been lost under Harper? Dion may not be a great campaigner, but that does not mean he is worthless. Harper tried to take money away from them, now they will take money away from him AND his MPs. I don't see the Bloc as traitors, I see them as a party that effectively defends the interests of Quebec. Ontario, on the other hand, votes for twits like Flaherty who will tell foreign investors Ontario is not a good place to invest. Those morons in his riding who voted for him deserve their current predicament.

You were wrong right from the get go on that post when you clearly lied outright by saying " i think" as your first two words. Right there we know that all that spews later is simply lieberal drivel.

I am not sure that it would be good to have Professor Dion and Taliban Jack in charge of the country just now.

Anyway, it is far from a done deal . . count on the Bloc to attend a hockey game or something when it comes time to vote.

Steve has already set up the gambit to distract them from the H of C on vote day. All the blockheads got an email telling them of unlimited free poutine in some northern cree village that was paid for with Western Canadians money. The slugs can't pass up another slurp at the trough.

it just might work.

One thing I can ascertain from the above post is this:

When you signed onto TERB, the handle dottyboi must have been unavailable to you.

Let us all hope they can convince Jean Chretien to take the reins again.

Harpo is an idiot. No one should have elected him. Ass out forwards. Now he doesn't have Bush Jr's shoulder to rest on when crying. Obama isn't jumping to kiss him, nor is Brown, nor is .... (fill in the blanket)

I agree. The PC's were wiped out as a party in 1993 because of the 1990's economic slump. If the Conservatives are lucky the Liberals and NDP will take over during the depression.

In 1929 the Conservatives were in power. They were out of power for a long time.

Check your statistics most of the manufacturing jobs that went went during the Liberal reign under Chretien. The current auto sector problems are problems that have been around for generations

You seem to have the same peculiar penchant for dwelling on male -on-male action that woody has.

Co-incidence???, i think not.

Your prompt response would give one pause to ask further questions

1) does woody do a search regularly to see if LancsLad has posted or does woody constantly do a search for threads with a subtle homoerotic content.

Which one could it be?????

Or could it be that the mods, in their infamy, has programmed the search engine in terb
to substitute Lancslad for Homo?

That is entirely possible.

But I do know that Fred Z secretly wishes that there were more posters like me.

Truth be told I suspect that thw woody / homo correlation hypothesis is eerily correct.
