Yeah, good old Windsor. Much ado about nothing, except the pleasure police are getting worse and worse. The topless strippers story reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and Kramer say Sue Ellen Mishkie, the heiress to the Oh Henry candy bar fortune in a bra walking down the street and crashed.
Yeah, I think it was Gwen Jacobs, a university student who decieded to talk a topless stroll on a hot day, and got charged for it, she took it to court, I think this is what caused the law to be changed.
Just a note about the LAW... The LAW clearly states that it cannot be done in a sexual manner. Meaning showing your tits to make truckers honk or get attention is illegal. BUT walking downtown casually topless.. swinging in the breeze.. is okay.
So strippers on the roof of the bar in plain view is really a touchy grey area.
If they did it for attn then it is illegal, if they were just sunbathing and got spotted is a different story.
That's why they will try to prove that the owner or someone sent them up on the roof to do it. Thus making it illegal and could screw up their licences.
THis will be one to watch...... That is why that topless carwash failed in Brampton I believe, it was SEXUAL in nature..
LOL TOPLESS BABES sexual in nature gee do ya think????? LOL
Actually....the toplessness also cannot be done if for a commercial purpose, such as gaining monetary value, as the carwash would be doing (was it an "outdoors" carwash?). If the LE can prove that the gals were on the roof of a nudie bar to attempt to reel in customers (and a judge would likely accept that argument, seeing as it is a licenced establishment) then those charged would likely be found guilty.
No one was charged in the incident, but JoeBlow and kinks_r_us are correct. Nothing is likely to happen as they probably aren't going to heavily investigate further. They're too busy shutting down all the rub 'n tugs in Windsor anyway.
